What you'll do:

• Develop and integrate generative artificial intelligence applications for customer interactions by utilising large language models and orchestration frameworks such as Langchain or AWS Bedrock.
• Design, build, and scale internal AI agents as well as customer-facing agentic solutions including generative AI-powered contact centres.
• Deploy custom solutions on cloud platforms using foundation models from leading providers to address complex business challenges.
• Fine-tune and evaluate large language models with proprietary and external datasets to ensure optimal performance across languages and modalities.
• Build robust APIs and backend services that enable real-time artificial intelligence inference for seamless integration into business processes.
• Ensure the reliability, privacy, and accuracy of generative AI responses through comprehensive testing, monitoring tools, and adherence to responsible AI principles.
• Contribute to governance efforts by ensuring all generative AI solutions comply with transparency, data privacy regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, product managers, and customer teams to align requirements, document solutions, and deliver high-quality outputs.
• Support the global roadmap for generative artificial intelligence by providing expert insights on emerging technologies and best practices.
• Monitor industry trends continuously and recommend new tools or approaches to enhance system performance and capabilities.

What you bring:

To excel as a Senior Generative Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Engineer, you will bring deep expertise in developing advanced machine learning solutions tailored for real-world impact. Your background should include substantial hands-on experience architecting LLM-based systems using modern frameworks while applying best practices in prompt engineering and model evaluation. A solid grasp of MLOps or LLMOps methodologies will enable you to streamline deployment pipelines efficiently. Your ability to code fluently in Python—and leverage libraries such as PyTorch or scikit-learn—will be essential for building robust generative models. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure ensures your solutions are scalable across geographies. Experience with voice conversational AI adds further value as the company explores multimodal interfaces.

• Over six years of experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning roles with at least three years focused on machine learning engineering, natural language processing (NLP), generative AI, and large language model technologies.
• Demonstrated proficiency in LLM agentic workflows using frameworks such as Langchain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex for building agents.
• Comprehensive knowledge of transformer architectures, prompt engineering techniques, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), guardrails implementation, and evaluation methodologies for large language models.
• Hands-on experience with MLOps or LLMOps practices is highly desirable for managing end-to-end machine learning pipelines efficiently.
• Familiarity with designing, implementing, and managing distributed training pipelines for large language models to ensure scalability is considered an advantage.
• Advanced programming skills in Python along with practical experience using machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or scikit-learn.
• Proven experience working with cloud technologies for deploying scalable artificial intelligence solutions securely.
• Experience developing voice conversational AI systems would be a significant plus for enhancing multimodal interaction capabilities.
