What you'll do:

As an ETL Developer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality data integration solutions that drive business value. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve collaborating with diverse teams both locally and internationally, analysing complex client requirements, designing scalable ETL workflows, and guiding less experienced colleagues through technical challenges. By conducting thorough code reviews and supporting testing efforts, you will help ensure the integrity of data transformations. .

  • Analyse client requirements thoroughly to design effective ETL solutions that meet business needs and technical specifications.
  • Review project estimates critically, suggesting updates where necessary to ensure accurate resource allocation and timely delivery.
  • Design and develop robust ETL processes using industry-standard tools, adhering to best practices for performance and reliability.
  • Conduct comprehensive design and code reviews to maintain high standards of quality and consistency across deliverables.
  • Participate actively in scrum calls, providing detailed status reports and contributing constructively to agile ceremonies.
  • Engage in Centres of Excellence activities, training sessions, recruitment efforts, and other initiatives that promote knowledge sharing within the organisation.

What you bring:

To excel as an ETL Developer in this role, you should bring proven expertise in leveraging a variety of ETL tools alongside advanced SQL skills for building reliable data pipelines. Your ability to communicate effectively—both verbally and in writing—will be vital when working closely with international teams and clients. If you have worked on projects within the insurance domain or have managed end-to-end implementations across multiple assignments, your insights will be especially valuable.

  • Demonstrated experience with ETL tools such as SSIS/SQL, MSSQL, DB2, Data Stage or Informatica .
  • Proficiency with reporting platforms like Tableau, IBM Cognos or Power BI will enable you to deliver insightful analytics solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud concepts including Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake or Matillion is highly valued.
  • A strong background in designing workflows, developing solutions, and tuning performance within data warehouse environments using SQL Server or Oracle is required.
  • Practical knowledge of writing stored procedures, functions, views, triggers and indexes using SQL will be crucial.
  • Experience managing databases including migrating data sets, transforming information accurately, and ensuring data integrity is important.
  • Familiarity with Agile SCRUM or SAFe methodologies will support your active participation in project cycles.
  • Domain knowledge within the insurance sector is considered advantageous.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology along with three to five years’ relevant experience in ETL development is required.
