Data Engineer (Several Headcounts!)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join their global Data team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on a cutting-edge data platform, collecting datasets from IoT infrastructure across multiple plants.

What you'll do:

As a Data Engineer, you will be an integral part of our client's global Data team. Your primary responsibility will be working on their advanced data platform, which collects datasets from IoT infrastructure across various plants. You will tackle complex technical challenges, develop new features, optimise CI/CD pipelines, automate processes, and improve governance and monitoring. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to contribute to future migration tasks related to a new tech stack.

• Work on a platform built on Azure, leveraging Databricks, Airflow, Docker, Blob Storage, and MongoDB.
• Address technical challenges and implement new features.
• Streamline CI/CD pipelines and automate processes.
• Enhance governance and monitoring of the data platform.
• Collaborate with colleagues in Europe as part of a global Data & AI team.
• Contribute to tasks related to the new platform in the future.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Data Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in data engineering focused on data integration, ETL, and data warehousing. You are proficient in Databricks and Spark and have experience with Azure services and platform. Your programming expertise lies in Python. You are familiar with DevOps/DataOps practices. Your English communication skills are excellent. You are proactive and self-reliant in task execution and capable of proposing solutions while effectively collaborating with stakeholders.

• Proficiency in SQL and Python or other objective languages (Java, C# etc.)
• Experience with relational databases and CI/CD operations.
• Knowledge of Git (preferably GitHub) and Gitops.
• Strong data architecture and integration skills.
• Familiarity with DBT, Snowflake, IaaC concepts, Jinja.
• Data modeling skills (star, snowflake, vault, etc.).
• Knowledge of Azure and Azure services related to data engineering.
• Understanding of SAP FI, SD, MM, SAP BW.
