Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineering Analyst to join their dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in establishing and supporting the IT application landscape within the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, establishing, and maintaining the company's data warehouse, developing reports, and driving digital transformation and automation.
What you'll do:
As a Data Engineering Analyst, your primary role will be to carry out data engineering and data analytics tasks. You will be responsible for designing, establishing, and maintaining the company's data warehouse. This includes consolidating raw data from various sources into a single database to simplify access and extraction of data across the organisation. You will also undertake the development of reporting solutions using SSRS & PowerBI, harmonising and improving existing reporting solutions with Dashboarding and Analytics. Your role will also involve managing data access and delivery per data security policies.

What you bring:
The ideal Data Engineering Analyst candidate brings a wealth of experience in data technologies, reporting tools, ETL or data warehousing. You have strong skills in SQL scripting, capable of designing complex and performant SQL queries. Your experience with data analytics tools enables you to develop effective reporting/dashboards using tools like Power BI or SSRS. Proficiency in Python and Apache Spark is essential.
- Minimum 2 years working experience in data engineering role
- Strong skill and knowledge in SQL
- Experience with data analytics tool and able to develop reporting/dashboard using e.g., Power BI , SSRS
- Proficiency in Python and Apache Spark, particularly within Databricks, for tasks such as data processing, ETL pipelines, and advanced analytics
- Familiarity with cloud computing tools such as AWS will be an advantage
- Ability to lead and drive execution of data analytics initiatives
