Senior Regional Trade Compliance Specialist Our client is a global pioneer in the healthcare industry, with a vision to create a world without fear of cancer. They are currently seeking a Senior Regional Trade Compliance Specialist for their Asia Pacific operations.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Regional Trade Compliance Specialist, your role will be pivotal in shaping the company's trade operations across the Asia Pacific region. You will be responsible for establishing procedures that align with both global and local regulations.

  • Establish and ensure consistent application of APAC trade operation procedures in alignment with global and local countries regulations.
  • Collaborate with logistics, sales, finance, legal and other business teams on cross-function projects.
  • Provide oversight for export control requirements including screening, classification, and license management.
  • Implement training, internal audit, risk correction/mitigation and other functions.
  • Manage customs broker policy, onboarding, KPI performance, business review etc.
  • Timely reporting for all import and export activities in the region.
  • Handle all queries, new requirement, audit, post inspection, appeal cases, certification from the customs authority in the region.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Regional Trade Compliance Specialist position brings a wealth of experience in trade and trade compliance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, law or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 - 15 years of Trade and Trade compliance related experience.
  • Strong experience in import/export administration including HS classification, Customs valuation, Customs clearance, Country of Origin, import license etc.
  • Working knowledge of ASEAN, Korea, Japan, Australia & New Zealand import & export trade regulations and practice.
  • SAP system and trade system application experience.
  • Willingness to travel if required.
