Supply Planner (FMCG) What you'll do: As a Supply Planner, you will be instrumental in shaping the efficiency of the supply chain network.

  • Leverage commercial depletion demand signals, on-hand inventory data, and inventory targets to align with distribution centre replenishment needs while developing comprehensive network supply plans within SAP that meet financial goals and service objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with demand planners, customer management teams, sales, finance, and other supply planners to deliver effective distributor and replenishment plans that support business unit objectives.
  • Provide exception-based reporting for assigned business units by generating Customer PSI and predictive OTIF reports, offering actionable recommendations to address both actual and forecasted demand fluctuations.
  • Ensure system-generated planned orders are accurately aligned with production requirements and converted into process orders within the detailed production scheduling horizon to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Develop robust supply plans and coordinate the timely dispatch of materials to third-party manufacturers to guarantee uninterrupted service for customers across multiple regions.
  • Analyse Make-To-Order (MTO) versus Make-To-Stock (MTS) demand within the master production schedule to ensure balanced and achievable production plans that optimise resource utilisation.
  • Collaborate with Planning Managers and regional supply chain leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on service targets, network optimisation, and inventory level management.
  • Assist the wider Supply Chain team with capacity planning activities, future availability assessments, labour planning within the S&OP process, and support production planning adjustments for near-term schedules.
  • Facilitate effective network management by coordinating material transfers between manufacturing locations based on evolving business needs while maintaining accurate master data for finished goods.

What you bring:

To excel as a Supply Planner in this organisation, your background should reflect hands-on experience within supply chain or planning environments where collaboration was key.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in a supply chain or planning-related role where you have developed practical expertise in managing complex logistics processes.
  • Experience within the FMCG industry is highly preferred
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP for demand planning and supply management tasks
  • Advanced Excel skills are necessary for analysing large datasets; familiarity with Power BI would be advantageous for enhanced reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including sales, finance, production schedulers, and senior stakeholders.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement demonstrated through previous involvement in process optimisation or efficiency enhancement initiatives.
