What you'll do:
As Head of Supply Chain and Procurement Food and Beverage you will be entrusted with end-to-end responsibility for developing strategic procurement frameworks that underpin the company’s operational effectiveness.
- Develop comprehensive procurement strategies that align with the company’s operational goals as well as future expansion plans within the food and beverage industry.
- Oversee all sourcing activities by ensuring purchases are made exclusively from approved suppliers on the Master Supplier List to maintain consistency and quality.
- Lead supplier selection processes including negotiation, onboarding, performance evaluation, and relationship management to foster dependable partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with Central Kitchen, Café Operations, and Finance teams to synchronise procurement plans with demand forecasts, seasonal trends, and menu changes.
- Establish par levels and reorder thresholds that reflect outlet needs while supporting central kitchen production requirements for efficient stock management.
- Monitor stock levels across central kitchen, warehouse, and café outlets while implementing protocols for stock movement, regular stock takes, wastage reporting, and expiry tracking.
- Enforce robust procurement processes via digital systems covering purchase requisitions, orders, goods receiving notes, delivery orders, supplier invoices, data hygiene practices, approval workflows, and reporting functions.
- Manage logistics schedules by optimising route planning between central kitchen, warehouse, and café locations while ensuring cold chain integrity for timely deliveries.
What you bring:
You will bring a wealth of experience from previous roles managing complex supply chains or procurement functions within the food service or FMCG sectors.
- Extensive experience in supply chain management or procurement roles within the food and beverage sector or similar fast-moving consumer goods environments.
- Strong background in supplier management including selection processes, contract negotiation skills, onboarding procedures, performance evaluation techniques, and relationship building.
- Demonstrated expertise in cost analysis methodologies coupled with experience running competitive bidding exercises to achieve value-for-money outcomes.
- Solid understanding of inventory management principles including setting par levels, monitoring stock movements across multiple locations (central kitchens/warehouses/outlets), conducting regular stock takes/wastage reporting/expiry tracking.
- Hands-on experience implementing digital inventory tracking solutions such as QR-based systems for enhanced accuracy in documentation across supply points.
- Familiarity with enforcing structured procurement processes using digital tools covering requisitions/orders/goods receiving/delivery/supplier invoicing/data hygiene/reporting/approval workflows.
- Comprehensive knowledge of logistics planning including route optimisation/cold chain management/vehicle scheduling/distribution network oversight between production sites/outlets/warehouses.
- Commitment to upholding quality assurance standards by collaborating effectively with QA teams on supplier compliance issues/audit documentation/rejection procedures/regulatory adherence (especially food handling/storage/transport).
