What you'll do:

As the Regional Category Manager - Direct Materials (Manufacturing) based in PJ, you will play a central role in shaping the future of procurement across a dynamic region.

• Develop and deploy comprehensive regional sourcing strategies for direct materials across South East Asia
• Lead strategic supplier management initiatives at both regional and global levels, building robust relationships with key vendors to secure optimal value.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including R&D, supply chain, sustainability teams, and other category leads to ensure seamless execution of sourcing plans.
• Drive the implementation of cost management programmes through e-tenders, effective negotiations, and rigorous contract management processes.
• Build and sustain a diverse vendor base by evaluating current suppliers and onboarding prospective partners to mitigate single-source risks.
• Manage complexity arising from multiple countries’ regulations, taxes, and market dynamics while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

What you bring:

To excel as Regional Category Manager - Direct Materials (Manufacturing), you will bring a wealth of experience from previous roles where you have managed large-scale procurement projects across diverse markets.

• Bachelor’s degree is required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in strategic sourcing roles managing complex spend categories across multiple geographies.
• Demonstrated success in global or regional procurement roles involving change management and project leadership.
• Advanced proficiency in strategic sourcing methodologies including category management, negotiation techniques, contract administration, and supplier evaluation.
• Strong analytical capabilities: highly numerate with experience using data platforms such as SAP or BI tools for detailed analysis.
• Experience working within international business cultures demonstrating flexibility, agility, and resilience under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset focused on achieving shared goals through teamwork.
