What you'll do:
As Inventory and Distribution Manager, you will play a central role in shaping the logistics strategy for the SEA region. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing complex supply chain networks, managing import/export relationships with public organisations, controlling warehousing flows, and driving improvements in key performance indicators such as inventory accuracy and cost management. You will be instrumental in building a high-functioning team through example-led leadership while developing robust processes that enhance operational efficiency. - Oversee all logistics activities in the SEA region, ensuring effective coordination of import/export processes, finishing planning, storage, warehousing, and terminal logistics.
- Support business objectives by guaranteeing timely customer deliveries aligned with organisational promises and service standards.
- Control working capital and costs through efficient supply chain management and material handling practices.
- Continuously develop team capabilities by providing coaching, mentoring, and fostering a culture of learning within the department.
- Participate actively in promoting a safe workplace by organising safety meetings, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with occupational health standards.
- Guide all finishing planning activities to optimise production schedules and resource allocation for maximum efficiency.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers including logistics providers, shipping liners, warehousing partners, and third-party collaborators to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Monitor warehouse performance closely to ensure optimal utilisation of space and resources while maintaining infrastructure according to regulatory requirements.
- Take overall responsibility for stock control and inventory accuracy by reconciling physical inventories with system records on a regular basis.
- Lead departmental investigations into accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions promptly to maintain safety standards.

Your background as an Inventory and Distribution Manager will include substantial experience managing end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple regions or business units. You will bring expertise in coordinating logistics networks efficiently while maintaining strict control over inventory accuracy. - University degree at bachelor level or above in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting or Engineering; other majors considered based on relevant experience.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ proven experience in supply chain management within a large-scale or regional context.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous for cross-border collaboration.
- Competence with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is required; familiarity with other software tools is beneficial.
- Positive attitude towards collaboration across boundaries within cross-functional teams; ability to motivate others through supportive leadership.
- Excellent interpersonal skills enabling effective communication at all levels internally and externally.
- Strong analytical abilities for logical problem-solving combined with practical negotiation skills when dealing with stakeholders.
- Experience managing relationships with logistics suppliers, shipping liners, warehousing partners as well as indirect suppliers beyond commercial agreements.
- Supply Chain Management Certification is desirable but not mandatory; commitment to ongoing professional development is highly valued.
- Demonstrated capability in horizontal coordination (Level 5), trust building (Level 5), effective communication (Level 4), decision-making (Level 4), planning/execution (Level 4).
