Logistics Specialist (Medical Device) A leading organisation in the medical device sector is seeking a Logistics Specialist to play a vital role in supporting and enhancing daily supply chain operations.

What you'll do:

As a Logistics Specialist – Medical Device, you will immerse yourself in the dynamic world of medical supply chain management.

  • Liaise effectively with both internal stakeholders such as planning and plant teams, as well as external partners including 3PL providers, customs brokers, warehouse teams, and distributors to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments by booking transportation, tracking progress, and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain meticulous records of shipping and receiving documents to support transparency and traceability throughout the supply chain process.
  • Monitor inventory levels closely and assist with regular stock reconciliation activities to maintain optimal inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure full compliance with import/export regulations and internal standard operating procedures (SOPs), particularly when working with third-party logistics providers.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards in collaboration with 3PL partners to track shipment status and key performance metrics.
  • Optimise warehouse and inventory space utilisation in partnership with 3PL providers to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support the preparation of compliance documentation such as Customs & e-Permit/MDA paperwork to facilitate smooth regulatory processes.
  • Undertake any additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisors or managers to contribute positively to overall team objectives.

What you bring:

In this Logistics Specialist – Medical Device role, your proven background in logistics or warehouse environments will be invaluable as you navigate complex supply chains.

  • Hold a diploma or equivalent qualification in logistics, supply chain management or a related field
  • Demonstrate minimum 1-3 years’ experience working within a warehouse or logistics environment where you have developed practical knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes.
  • Show proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and JD Edwards (JDE) software; familiarity with these systems is considered an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills that enable you to coordinate effectively with both internal colleagues and external partners across multiple functions.
  • Display advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis as well as Outlook
  • Possess sound knowledge of customs procedures along with experience handling e-Permit/MDA documentation required for compliant import/export activities.
  • Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills that allow you to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while consistently meeting deadlines.
