Our client is on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead their expansion into the APAC region. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in a globally recognised independent distributor of electronic components. The successful candidate will have the chance to work remotely or in a hybrid setting from Malaysia, while driving growth and establishing strategic relationships across key APAC markets.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Business Development Manager, your role will be instrumental in driving our client's growth within the APAC region. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue growth across key markets. Your deep understanding of the electronic components market will enable you to effectively promote their portfolio and sourcing capabilities. Collaborating with internal teams across Europe and Asia, you will align sales strategies and ensure top-notch customer service. Monitoring market trends and competitor activities will be crucial for informing your strategy. Reporting on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline development to senior leadership will also be a key part of your role.

  • Develop and execute a regional business development strategy to grow market share in APAC.
  • Identify and engage new EMS and OEM customers, maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts.
  • Promote our portfolio of electronic components and sourcing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams in Europe and Asia to align sales strategies and customer service.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regional demand to inform strategy.
  • Report on sales performance, forecasts, and pipeline development to senior leadership.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Senior Business Development Manager position brings a wealth of experience in business development or sales within the electronic components industry. With at least 15 years under your belt, you have built a strong network within the EMS and OEM customer segments in APAC. Your deep understanding of electronic components distribution models allows you to recognise their value proposition. Your excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills make you adept at engaging new customers while maintaining existing relationships. Being self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven enables you to consistently meet targets. Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential for this role. Lastly, your willingness to travel across the region as needed demonstrates your commitment to driving growth.

  • Minimum 15 years of business development or sales experience in the electronic components industry.
  • Strong network within the EMS and OEM customer segments in APAC.
  • Deep understanding of electronic components distribution models and the value they offer.
