Our client is seeking a highly skilled Key Account Manager to join their dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage and grow key accounts within the fast-moving consumer goods industry, with a focus on the Pharmacy Channel. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing trade efficiency, and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders.

What you'll do:

As a Key Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive sales growth within the Pharmacy Channel. You will be tasked with achieving sales targets, managing trade efficiency, and ensuring alignment with company strategy. Your role will involve negotiating with buyers on promotional costs and margins, managing trade funds, and executing annual business plans. You will also conduct regular business reviews with designated accounts, develop customer service relationships, and analyze the effectiveness of promotional activities.

  • Achieve sales target and profit objectives of designated key account
  • Monitor sales achievements relative to objectives and initiate programs/activities to ensure sales targets are achieved
  • Negotiate with buyer on promo cost and margin and plan to achieve account profitability
  • Manage and optimize trade fund and achieve planned trade spend KPIs
  • Develop and execute annual business plan, strategies, and promotional activities
  • Conduct regular business review with designated accounts and yearly Joint Business Planning
  • Analyze and appraise the effectiveness of promotional activities, trade spent/investment and results

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Key Account Manager role will bring a wealth of experience from the fast-moving consumer goods industry. With at least 3-5 years of experience in Sales management, you have a proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing key accounts. Your strong leadership skills coupled with excellent influencing, communication, and presentation abilities make you stand out from the crowd. Experience managing the Pharmacy Channel is essential for this role.

  • Business Graduate or equivalent qualification
  • At least 3-5 years in Sales management in the fast-moving consumer goods industry
  • Strong ability to set clear measurable objectives, delegate responsibilities, assess, recognize and reward performance
  • Strong leadership with excellent influencing, communication and presentation skills
  • Experience of managing Pharmacy Channel in the fast-moving consumer goods industry
  • Proven Sales track record
