What you'll do:

As Brand Activation Manager, you will immerse yourself in the vibrant landscape of Malaysia’s premium beverage sector. Your day-to-day will involve harnessing your understanding of local markets to shape compelling campaigns that connect with diverse audiences. You will collaborate extensively with agency partners as well as internal stakeholders such as Channel Activation Managers and Portfolio Managers to ensure every initiative is executed flawlessly. By adapting global guidelines for local relevance, you will take ownership of campaign performance from conception through evaluation managing budgets efficiently while always seeking new ways to elevate consumer engagement. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you monitor competitor activity, assess campaign effectiveness, and provide actionable recommendations that keep your brands ahead in a competitive marketplace. Success in this role means consistently delivering high-impact activations that build lasting brand equity while fostering a culture of teamwork, shared learning, and mutual support.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of local market dynamics, shopper behaviours, and consumer preferences to inform effective brand planning and execution.
  • Interpret the lifecycle stage of each brand within the portfolio, identifying the most suitable tools and tactics to achieve significant sales growth and enhance brand equity.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with local agency partners to optimise campaign delivery, ensuring clear communication and timely execution of all activities.
  • Work collaboratively with Channel Activation Managers and Portfolio Managers to ensure seamless alignment between rolling activity plans and approved local brand strategies.
  • Adapt global brand guidelines to suit local market needs, taking full accountability for the execution of brand plans, budget allocation, and tracking effectiveness of all initiatives.
  • Manage advertising and promotional budgets responsibly in line with allocations from regional marketing teams, maintaining transparency and control over spend.
  • Measure and evaluate key programmes and initiatives rigorously to ensure their effectiveness, using insights gained to drive ongoing improvements in future campaigns.
  • Analyse emerging marketing platforms and propose innovative ways to maximise consumer reach and brand awareness, providing clear recommendations based on competitor activity and market intelligence.
  • Monitor competitor promotions, pricing strategies, deals, and overall market activity; assess their impact on your brands and make informed recommendations for strategic responses.
  • Contribute actively to integrated activity plans during Lockdown Meetings and Cycle Briefings with commercial teams, ensuring detailed channel mechanics are insight-driven with clear objectives.

  • Demonstrated experience in brand activation or marketing roles within fast-moving consumer goods or luxury sectors, ideally managing multiple brands across various channels.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex market data, shopper trends, and consumer insights into actionable marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills enabling you to nurture collaborative relationships with agency partners as well as cross-functional internal teams.
  • Strong organisational abilities allowing you to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail across planning, execution, budgeting, and reporting responsibilities.
  • Experience adapting global marketing guidelines for local markets while ensuring compliance with overarching brand standards.
  • Sound financial acumen with hands-on experience managing advertising & promotional budgets effectively within set allocations.
  • Analytical mindset capable of evaluating programme effectiveness using quantitative metrics as well as qualitative feedback; able to translate findings into continuous improvement actions.
  • Track record of monitoring competitor activities in-market including promotions, pricing strategies, deals and responding strategically based on robust market intelligence.
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting recommendations clearly during meetings with commercial teams or senior stakeholders.
