KOL & Affiliate Marketing Manager
A newly created KOL & Affliate Marketing Manager position has just been made available with a growing Fashion DTC brand.
A leading fashion-tech company is seeking an Affiliate and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Marketing Manager to spearhead their global affiliate and KOL programme from the ground up. This role offers you the unique opportunity to shape a high-impact, high-visibility function within a rapidly expanding brand that is redefining affordable premium menswear. You will join a small, senior team committed to excellence, versatility, and transparency, where data and automation drive every decision. The organisation values quality craftsmanship, factory-direct pricing, and real cost transparency, ensuring that your work directly influences the future of men's essentials. With flexible remote working options based in Kuala Lumpur, generous training opportunities, and supportive leadership, this is your chance to build a world-class affiliate network and make a lasting impact on the industry.
- Take ownership of a global affiliate and KOL marketing strategy, building pipelines across men's lifestyle, fitness, fashion, and outdoor verticals through collaborative outreach and nurturing relationships with creators.
- Enjoy flexible working opportunities with a supportive senior team dedicated to your professional growth, offering training on automation tools and creator platforms to enhance your skills.
- Contribute to a fast-moving environment where your efforts are recognised and rewarded as you lead a team of junior specialists, optimise commission structures, and drive measurable revenue for one of the decade's defining men's essentials brands.
What you'll do:
As an Affiliate and Key Opinion Leader Marketing Manager based in Kuala Lumpur with remote flexibility, you will be entrusted with building an innovative affiliate programme from scratch. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve strategic planning for global outreach across multiple markets while collaborating closely with creators in diverse verticals such as men's lifestyle, fitness, fashion, and outdoor activities. You will recruit thousands of KOLs through various channels—cold outreach or warm referrals—and ensure their successful onboarding onto the platform. By negotiating commission deals tailored to each partnership’s needs and managing complex incentive structures for maximum conversion rates, you will drive measurable revenue growth. Additionally, you will oversee gifting campaigns at scale—from product sourcing to deliverable management—while securing valuable user-generated content for paid media initiatives. As the function expands rapidly under your guidance, you will recruit junior specialists into your team; nurture their development; foster inclusive collaboration; optimise workflows using advanced CRM tools; track performance metrics; report on key outcomes; all while contributing directly to the brand’s mission of delivering affordable premium menswear worldwide.
- Own and execute the full affiliate and KOL partnerships strategy across launch and growth markets globally, ensuring seamless integration with broader marketing initiatives.
- Build and manage the end-to-end affiliate programme by recruiting KOLs, overseeing onboarding processes, and driving ongoing activation and revenue contribution.
- Develop robust pipelines from zero in men's lifestyle, fitness, fashion, and outdoor categories using cold outreach, warm referrals, creator networks, and agency relationships.
- Recruit, manage, and optimise a roster of over 1,000 active KOLs within the first year with a focus on incremental revenue generation and comprehensive category coverage.
- Negotiate commission economics and deal structures including tiered commissions, exclusive codes, gifting arrangements, hybrid fees, contracts, payouts, and incentives.
- Activate top-performing KOLs through coaching and retention strategies while continuously optimising payout structures against return on investment.
- Manage large-scale gifting pipelines by sourcing products, vetting creators, coordinating shipping logistics, overseeing deliverables management, and reporting post-campaign results.
- Build and lead a growing team of junior outreach specialists by recruiting new members, onboarding them effectively, and fostering their development as the programme scales.
- Secure user-generated content rights in all partnerships while feeding creator content into paid creative pipelines to generate over 100 usable pieces per quarter.
- Optimise the bespoke affiliate platform alongside supporting CRM systems for outreach management, deliverables tracking, payments processing, and attribution analysis.
- Oversee forecasting and reporting on affiliate-attributed revenue streams while monitoring blended KOL customer acquisition costs and programme efficiency.
What you bring:
Your extensive experience in affiliate marketing at direct-to-consumer brands equips you perfectly for this Affiliate and Key Opinion Leader Marketing Manager role. You bring proven expertise in recruiting large numbers of creators onto performance-based deals that generate tangible results. Your interpersonal skills shine when negotiating complex commission structures or maintaining long-term relationships with partners—even when tough decisions must be made. Having managed junior teams before ensures you can foster growth leadership within your department while promoting inclusivity among colleagues. Your analytical approach allows you to optimise incentive models for maximum ROI without losing sight of broader business objectives. If you possess additional insights into men’s creator landscapes or have worked with advanced affiliate platforms previously—these are highly valued assets that will help accelerate your impact in this position. Above all else: your commitment to continuous learning means you’ll thrive in an environment where automation tools are integral but support is always available.
- 4 to 6 years’ experience in affiliate marketing or influencer partnerships at direct-to-consumer brands or agencies with hands-on success managing affiliate programmes across multiple markets.
- Proven track record recruiting hundreds of KOLs or creators onto commission-based deals that drive measurable revenue for D2C brands.
- Experience managing junior outreach or partnership teams with at least two direct reports under your supervision.
- Exceptional negotiation skills combined with relationship-building abilities that allow you to maintain positive connections even during challenging discussions about compensation or deliverables.
- Comfortable owning both strategy formulation and execution within a fast-moving environment where adaptability is essential for success.
- Data-driven mindset capable of navigating complex economics associated with nano- or micro-tier affiliates including high wastage but significant upside potential.
- Willingness to learn automation tools or AI-driven workflows as part of daily operations with full training provided by the organisation.
- Bonus: Deep understanding of the male creator economy including knowledge of audience trust signals; proven ability to identify micro-creators who convert sales effectively in men’s categories such as menswear or fitness; familiarity with creator/affiliate platforms like Grin or Aspire; prior experience working with apparel brands where factory pedigree or fabric IP is central.
