Legal Counsel (APAC) | 3 Months Contract (Renewable)
About the Role Join a leading multinational organisation as Legal Counsel for the Asia Pacific region. You will provide legal and regulatory support across APAC, advise on cross-border transactions, manage contracts, ensure compliance, and collaborate with regional and headquarters legal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage regulatory and compliance matters, including telecommunications licence applications, renewals, filings, and inquiries.
- Provide practical legal advice on cross-border transactions and business operations.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and approve commercial contracts.
- Conduct legal research and monitor regulatory developments across APAC.
- Deliver legal training and promote compliance awareness internally.
- Liaise with external counsel and support special projects.
- Assist in developing policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
Requirements
- Law degree (Common Law or Civil Law).
- Qualified lawyer preferred.
- Minimum 6 years' post-graduate legal experience, including at least 4 years in-house (telecommunications/technology preferred) or in a law firm.
- Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
- Experience in multinational and multicultural environments.
- Knowledge of APAC regulatory and compliance matters.
