What you'll do:

As the legal associate / senior legal associate, your responsibilities include:

• Handling a range of Intellectual Property (IP) disputes, including trademarks, patents, copyrights, and design infringement matters.
• Comfortable managing cases from initial strategy to litigation, including working with enforcement agencies and attending hearings.
• Conduct in-depth legal research, draft clear and persuasive pleadings, submissions, and legal opinions.
• Advise clients on IP enforcement strategies, portfolio management, and risk mitigation to protect and strengthen their IP assets.
• Negotiate and draft settlement agreements, licensing agreements, and other IP-related contracts to resolve disputes or commercialize IP rights.

What you bring:

The ideal candidates bring the following requirements:

• Possess 4–5 years post-qualification experience handling intellectual property disputes within a reputable law firm or corporate setting.
• Demonstrate advanced research abilities with a proven track record of producing well-reasoned legal opinions on complex IP matters.
• Display excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Remain highly motivated towards continuous learning and professional development within the field of intellectual property law.
