Senior Manager, Compliance

A leading organisation is seeking a Senior Manager, Compliance. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to guide and support enterprise-wide compliance leadership, ensuring robust governance and strategic oversight across all business segments. You will act as a trusted advisor to Management and business functions, translating complex regulatory requirements into practical frameworks and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

• Lead enterprise-wide compliance risk management, including identification, assessment and monitoring of material compliance risks, while providing senior-level advisory on complex regulatory and compliance matters.
• Strengthen the Group Compliance Framework by establishing governance principles, roles and responsibilities, escalation mechanisms and minimum control requirements, while continuously improving the overall compliance function.
• Monitor regulatory developments and compliance, including interpreting new regulatory requirements and implementing risk-based monitoring programmes, thematic reviews and targeted assessments to evaluate adherence to policies and controls.
• Drive compliance reporting and strategic improvement initiatives by consolidating group-wide compliance data, identifying trends and control gaps, and leading initiatives involving process improvement, standardisation, digitisation, automation and industry benchmarking.
• Promote a strong compliance culture and manage significant incidents, through awareness programmes, capability building, technical guidance and remediation efforts, while collaborating closely with Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, HR, Finance, IT and other control functions and coaching team members.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Risk Management or Governance from a recognised institution is essential; postgraduate qualifications are advantageous.
• Relevant professional certifications such as Compliance & Ethics (ICA), Governance (SCCE), Enterprise Risk Management (IIA), Fraud Examination (ACFE), Anti-Bribery & Corruption or Financial Crime Compliance are highly desirable.
• Minimum 10–15 years’ experience operating at managerial or senior managerial level within sizeable diversified or regulated organisations with substantial exposure to compliance governance frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to develop implement oversee compliance policies risk assessments monitoring programmes remediation initiatives within complex corporate groups conglomerates government-linked companies multinational organisations or highly regulated industries.
• Proven track record providing senior-level advisory support on complex regulatory matters influencing stakeholders without direct reporting authority preparing papers reports recommendations for senior management committees.
• Practical experience managing significant compliance issues investigations regulatory findings control weaknesses remediation programmes including leading transformation digitalisation data analytics process improvement initiatives.
• Advanced knowledge of compliance governance principles management frameworks roles responsibilities oversight independent assurance combined with strong commercial acumen enabling proportionate application of requirements without unnecessary complexity.
