What you'll do:

As a Senior Legal, Executive you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where your day-to-day responsibilities revolve around providing expert legal support across multiple jurisdictions within the APAC region.

The primary responsibilities are:

• Provide thorough legal review and guidance on a wide variety of commercial contracts, non-disclosure agreements, customer terms, and other binding documents to ensure all business dealings are legally sound.
• Collaborate closely with senior management and sales teams throughout the APAC region to negotiate customer agreements that align with both business objectives and compliance requirements.
• Ensure consistent application of internal legal standards by supporting the standardisation of contractual terms across all units in the region.
• Enhance contract templates and improve overall legal documentation processes.
• Conduct detailed legal risk assessments and advise on effective mitigation strategies to protect organisational interests.
• Handle complex legal issues related to commercial insurance policies and data protection regulations, providing clear advice on best practices.
• Manage assigned legal cases (excluding HR matters) and insurance claims, including coordination with external counsel when specialist input is required.
• Deliver engaging legal training sessions and offer ongoing guidance to sales-related functions to promote understanding of key legal principles.
• Participate in or lead special legal projects as assigned by senior management, contributing your expertise to broader business initiatives.

What you bring:

To excel as a Senior Legal, Executive in this organisation, you will bring substantial experience gained from working within or alongside businesses operating across the APAC region. Your background should include significant involvement in commercial contract management—reviewing, drafting, negotiating—and navigating complex regulatory environments such as data protection laws. Your ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing will allow you to translate technical legal language into accessible advice for colleagues at every level.

• A minimum of 7 years’ post-qualified experience (PQE) in a similar capacity within the APAC region, demonstrating exposure to multiple jurisdictions.
• Proven track record in commercial contract management, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements within an in-house or B2B environment.
• Familiarity with data protection regulations as well as hands-on experience managing commercial insurance matters is highly desirable.
• Exceptional command of English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills that enable you to articulate complex legal concepts clearly for diverse audiences.
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with high levels of accuracy in legal drafting and document review tasks.
• Ability to simplify intricate legal terms for stakeholders at all levels while maintaining clarity and precision.
• Demonstrated capability to work independently while effectively managing competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate positive stakeholder relationships across different departments and regions.
• Experience handling commercial contract reviews and negotiations specifically relating to Australia or New Zealand is considered an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word along with general competence using Microsoft Office tools; holding a diploma or certification in legal studies as a paralegal or legal executive is beneficial.
