Compliance cum Corporate Secretarial Officer
An exciting Compliance cum Corporate Secretarial Officer role has just become available at one of the financial services companies based in Kuala Lumpur.
What you'll do:
- Perform in all spectrums of secretarial works and other corporate exercises undertaken by the Company.
- Organize, coordinate and attend the Company’s general meetings, Board meetings, Senior Management Committee meetings, Investment Advisory Committee meetings, including the preparation and compilation of the necessary agendas, meeting papers and minutes.
- Take responsibility for the administration of the Company, for example: practicing good record keeping on Company license, Company registration, shareholders’ documentation and etc.
- Prepare and file regulatory reports in accordance with the Labuan FSA’s and SCM's regulations.
- Assist Compliance Officer to ensure that the Company is in compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines requirements of Labuan FSA, SCM and/or other regulators.
- Assist the Compliance Officer in the preparation of compliance related reports to be submitted to Board of Directors for deliberation and approval.
- Assist the Principal Officer and/or Directors to manage the Company’s daily operations.
- Assist in administrative tasks of Labuan Office when necessary.
- Undertake ad-hoc assignments instructed by the Board of Directors or Senior Management of the Company from time to time.
What you'll bring:
The ideal candidate for this Compliance cum Corporate Secretarial Officer positions is someone who is able to work independently and conduct extensive operations by assisting the Board of Directors and the Compliance Officer of the Company
- Bachelor's Degree and/or Master’s Degree from a reputable university in Law, Finance/Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Studies/Administration/Management or relevant discipline
- MAICSA License not necessary but desirable
- Minimum 3 years’ company secretarial practice experience or legal and compliance works
- Good command in spoken and written English and Bahasa Melayu
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels
- Attention to detail and a well-organised approach to work
- The capability to work with numerical information, plus analytical and problem-solving skills
- A sound grasp of corporate governance issue
- Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
