P&C: Head, Group Resourcing/TA

A well established and reputable financial institution is seeking to recruit a high calibre Head, Group Resourcing/TA to join their dynamic team in MY. The incumbent interacts with country management, senior business managers and provides strategic advice on people issues, organizational design, HR product needs as well as HR operations in Malaysia.

Reporting to the Group Talent & Workforce, you will be responsible to lead and manage the Group’s end-to-end recruitment strategy and operations across all business sectors and countries, ensuring the Group is effectively resourced with the right talent in a timely, scalable, and cost-efficient manner. This role provides strategic direction, operational oversight, and stakeholder partnership to position the Group as an employer of choice and support the Group’s growth and transformation agenda.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice and support to leadership teams and people mangers on HR strategy and agenda (recruitment, performance management, talent & development, compensation, etc); implementing and managing the related policies & processes related to labor law changes.
  • Provide effective recruitment planning and implementation of recruitment strategies for the recruitment team
  • Provide strategic and operational solutions for talent acquisition
  • Maintain effective relationship with internal and external key stakeholders of the business
  • Compliance with internal policies

To succeed in this role, you would need to have more than 10 years relevant HR business partner/advisory experience.

Key Requirements:

  • Candidates who have garnered work experiences within the banking & finance industry will be viewed favorably
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across locations representing a solution- oriented way of working, collaboration, and ability to constructively challenge the status quo
  • Comfortable with presenting to management groups, with the ability to produce concise presentations, including necessary research and inquiry capabilities
  • Ability to partner and manage relationships with new and existing HR vendors and structure contractual agreements accordingly
  • Sound understanding of appropriate employment legislation and how to manage employee relations matters in accordance with policy & law, with counselling and conflict resolution skills
