What you bring:
To excel as a Personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer in Penang, your background should reflect proven experience supporting senior leaders within complex organisations. Your expertise lies not only in managing diaries or arranging travel but also in building trusting relationships through honest communication and empathetic understanding of others’ needs. You bring proficiency with office software alongside strong written skills that ensure every document reflects clarity and professionalism. Your calm demeanour under pressure allows you to juggle competing priorities without losing sight of important details or deadlines. With several years spent working closely with C-suite executives—or equivalent leadership—you understand how vital it is to maintain confidentiality while acting as a reliable point of contact between stakeholders. A relevant degree underpins your practical knowledge; however, what truly sets you apart is your willingness to collaborate openly with colleagues from diverse backgrounds while nurturing an atmosphere of mutual respect.
- Demonstrated organisational abilities that allow you to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail across all responsibilities.
- A high level of discretion when dealing with confidential matters ensures trustworthiness in handling sensitive information for senior executives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to interact considerately with colleagues at all levels as well as external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite—including Word, Excel, PowerPoint—and comfort with digital tools used for scheduling or document management.
- Strong interpersonal skills foster positive relationships within teams while supporting collaborative efforts across departments.
- Ability to multitask calmly under pressure so that deadlines are met without compromising quality or professionalism in any situation.
- Critical thinking capabilities help you anticipate needs before they arise while solving problems thoughtfully when challenges occur.
- At least three years’ experience supporting C-level executives provides valuable insight into executive workflows within fast-moving environments.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Communications (or similar field) demonstrates your academic foundation for this demanding position.
- Familiarity with industry-specific practices is considered an advantage but not essential if you bring enthusiasm for learning new concepts quickly.
