Our client is seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager with a focus on Employee Relations and Industrial Relations. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive work culture, managing employee wellbeing, and overseeing direct labour recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to legal standards in HR practices, managing grievance and disciplinary procedures, and promoting diversity and inclusion within the workplace.

What you'll do:

As a Human Resources Manager specialising in Employee Relations and Industrial Relations, your role will be integral to maintaining a harmonious workplace environment. You will be tasked with developing strong relationships with both employees and regulatory bodies while advising management on crucial matters such as labour legislation and industrial relations strategies. Your expertise will be called upon to manage investigations into workplace grievances and provide timely resolutions. You will also play a key role in driving initiatives that promote employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and a positive work culture. In addition to these responsibilities, you will oversee the management of foreign workers including applications and renewals of work permits. Your role extends to managing employee welfare services such as transportation coordination, canteen operations, company garments provision, locker facilities maintenance, and recreational programs organisation. Furthermore, you will develop recruitment strategies specifically for direct labour hires while working closely with production/operations managers to align hiring needs. Lastly, you will manage the onboarding process for new employees.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees and regulatory bodies.
  • Advise management on labour legislation, regulatory compliance, and industrial relations strategies.
  • Manage investigations into workplace grievances, preparing reports and providing timely resolutions.
  • Drive initiatives that promote employee engagement, diversity, inclusion, and a positive work culture.
  • Oversee foreign workers management including applications, renewals of work permit, hostel etc.
  • Manage employee transportation, canteen operations, company garments, locker facilities, and recreational programs.
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies specifically for direct labour hires.
  • Work closely with production/operations managers to align hiring needs.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new employees.

What you bring:

As an experienced Human Resources Manager specialising in Employee Relations/Industrial Relations, you bring a wealth of knowledge to our team. With your degree or equivalent qualification in HR Management and at least 7 years of related working experience, you are well-equipped to handle the challenges of this role. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will be invaluable in developing relationships with employees and regulatory bodies. Your excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills will be crucial in managing workplace grievances and disciplinary procedures. Your analytical and critical thinking abilities will aid in advising management on labour legislation, regulatory compliance, and industrial relations strategies. Furthermore, your ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines will ensure the smooth running of employee welfare services and direct labour recruitment processes. Lastly, your knowledge of relevant laws and regulations will ensure our adherence to legal standards in HR practices.

  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in HR Management
  • At least 7 years related working experience with at least 3 years in management position
