Junior HRBP

What you'll do:
As a Junior Human Resources Business Partner based in Kuala Lumpur, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s people agenda throughout the APAC region. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve partnering with business leaders to implement people strategies that align with organisational goals.
- Partner with regional leadership and management teams to support, influence, and guide on all aspects of people strategy and policy implementation.
- Provide timely advice on employee relations matters across APAC, ensuring compliance with local employment laws while fostering positive workplace relationships.
- Collaborate with the internal talent acquisition team to support recruitment campaigns, facilitate seamless onboarding processes, and assist managers in developing effective probation objectives.
- Coach and support key stakeholders to drive high performance, engagement, and efficiency through tailored talent management initiatives.
- Assist in identifying training needs and supporting talent development programmes that enhance employee skills and organisational capability.
- Contribute to change management and transformation projects impacting employees across the region, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication.
- Implement people programmes such as Wellness, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, Environmental Social Governance, and Reward & Recognition within the APAC region.
- Work closely with centralised HR Operations to ensure efficient delivery of HR services including onboarding, offboarding, employee support, and HRIS management.
- Manage benefits administration for APAC employees by liaising with vendors, handling contract renewals, negotiations, and communicating updates effectively.
- Support annual performance review cycles, compensation processes, succession planning activities, and provide input into strategic HR projects as required.

Your background should include hands-on exposure to all facets of human resources—from employee relations through talent acquisition—enabling you to offer practical guidance tailored to different business needs. Your ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously—while remaining sensitive to cultural nuances—will set you apart as an invaluable member of the People team.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field is essential for this position.
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience as an HR Generalist within a regional or global capacity is required to excel in this role.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills combined with clear communication abilities are necessary for building strong partnerships across functions.
- Experience using HRIS platforms ensures efficient handling of core HR operations tasks such as onboarding and data management.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Mandarin would be advantageous when supporting diverse teams across APAC.
- Familiarity with employment legislation throughout the APAC region helps ensure compliance in all HR activities undertaken.
- Strong coaching skills enable you to constructively challenge managers while remaining open-minded towards new perspectives.
