What you'll do:
As Head of Human Resources based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with leading the transformation of the HR function during a period of rapid organisational growth.
- Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies that align with business objectives and support the company’s expansion plans.
- Design and implement HR policies, frameworks, and best practices that meet standards and governance requirements.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all aspects of people strategy, organisational development, and talent management.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes in partnership with department heads, including sourcing senior technical talent and managing relationships with headhunting firms.
- Plan workforce hiring waves in line with ambitious revenue targets while ensuring effective onboarding and integration of new hires.
- Establish KPI frameworks for performance appraisals, promotions, and bonus structures to drive employee motivation and retention.
- Benchmark industry salaries to recommend competitive compensation packages that attract top talent.
- Ensure full compliance with Malaysian labour laws, PDPA regulations, statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS), and future listing requirements such as ESOS structuring.
- Manage employment contracts, disciplinary actions, internal investigations, resignations, and exit protocols with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Champion employee engagement by developing training calendars, onboarding programmes, wellness initiatives, team-building events, and CSR activities.
What you bring:
To excel as Head of Human Resources in this organisation, you will bring extensive experience across all facets of modern HR management—ranging from policy development to talent acquisition through to compliance oversight. Your background should reflect hands-on involvement in scaling teams within innovative sectors such as technology or events.
- Experience in human resources with at least 5 years spent in a leadership capacity is essential for this position.
- Demonstrated ability to build or scale HR departments within creative, technology or event-driven companies is highly desirable.
