What you'll do:

As a Junior Human Resources Executive based in Klang, you will immerse yourself in the daily operations of a thriving HR department.

  • Assist with the full spectrum of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, payroll administration, and employee record management, ensuring all processes are handled efficiently and accurately.
  • Support the coordination of staff welfare initiatives, training programmes, and employee engagement activities designed to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Maintain up-to-date personnel files and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations at all times.
  • Respond promptly and empathetically to employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, providing clear guidance or escalating issues as necessary.
  • Prepare HR-related documentation such as employment contracts, letters of appointment, confirmation letters, and other correspondence as required by management.
  • Participate actively in the recruitment process by posting job advertisements, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and assisting with candidate communications.
  • Contribute to the implementation of performance appraisal exercises by coordinating schedules, collecting feedback forms, and compiling evaluation data for review.
  • Assist in monitoring attendance records and leave applications using HR systems or manual tracking methods to ensure accurate reporting for payroll processing.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to support cross-functional projects or events that require HR input or logistical assistance.
  • Stay updated on changes in labour laws or HR best practices by attending training sessions or reviewing industry publications as directed by senior HR staff.

What you bring:

  • A diploma or degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred for this position as it provides foundational knowledge essential for success.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required so you can interact effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
  • Strong organisational abilities are important as you will be managing multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in all documentation.
  • A high level of integrity and respect for confidentiality is crucial when handling sensitive employee information or company records.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is necessary for preparing reports and maintaining databases efficiently.
  • A genuine interest in supporting others combined with empathy ensures you respond considerately to employee enquiries or concerns.
