What you'll do:
As Manager, Compensation & Benefits you will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation’s approach to total rewards. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve designing robust compensation structures that reflect market standards while supporting business objectives. You will oversee the full spectrum of benefits administration—from healthcare plans to wellness initiatives—ensuring these offerings remain attractive yet sustainable. By leveraging advanced analytics tools, you will provide actionable insights through dashboards and executive reports.
- Design and implement competitive rewards strategies that align with organisational goals to attract and retain high-performing employees.
- Develop and maintain salary structures, incentive plans, and bonus programmes based on market benchmarks to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Lead the annual salary review process by managing budgeting activities, conducting analytics, preparing recommendations, and securing necessary approvals from leadership.
- Conduct thorough job evaluations using established frameworks such as WTW GG grading to ensure consistency across roles within the organisation.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programmes—including healthcare, retirement plans, wellness initiatives—ensuring cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance at all times.
- Analyse utilisation trends of benefits offerings through data collection and employee feedback to recommend enhancements that support overall wellbeing.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and insurers to optimise service delivery for all compensation and benefits-related matters.
- Prepare detailed compensation dashboards and reports for senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making processes.
- Conduct regular pay equity audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Collaborate closely with Finance on budgeting exercises related to rewards programmes while advising HR partners on best practices in compensation.
What you bring:
To excel as Manager, Rewards and Human Resources you will bring extensive hands-on experience in developing comprehensive compensation frameworks within large organisations.
- Experience specialising in compensation and benefits management with proven expertise in job architecture design, benchmarking methodologies, and benefits programme development.
- Demonstrated proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS) as well as advanced Excel skills including modelling techniques and pivot table analysis for complex data sets.
- Hands-on experience utilising salary surveys from reputable sources such as WTW, Mercer or Korn Ferry to inform compensation decisions.
- Comprehensive understanding of Malaysian labour laws along with tax implications relevant to rewards administration is essential.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint alongside other data visualisation tools for preparing compelling executive-level presentations is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical thinking skills enabling you to interpret complex datasets into clear recommendations that drive business outcomes.
