Save job

A leading global pharmaceutical organisation is seeking a Key Account Manager to champion their women's health portfolio across Malaysia, with a focus on top medical centres and major pharmacy chains. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape key account strategies, nurture high-value client relationships, and drive business growth in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you'll do:

As a Key Account Manager – Women's Health based in Petaling Jaya, you will play an instrumental role in shaping the future of women's health solutions across Malaysia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will revolve around developing robust business plans for influential medical centres and pharmacy chains while building enduring relationships with key decision-makers. You will be entrusted with designing impactful strategies that include educational programmes and marketing campaigns tailored to each account's unique requirements. In addition to your account management duties, you will lead a small but dynamic team of sales representatives guiding them through regular coaching sessions, monitoring their progress against KPIs, and ensuring their efforts are aligned with national objectives. Your ability to consolidate market intelligence into insightful reports will help steer senior management decisions. By collaborating with marketing colleagues on product launches or educational events—and acting as the bridge between field realities and internal planning you will ensure that every initiative is grounded in real-world needs. Success in this role means not only achieving ambitious growth targets but also fostering an environment where ethical behaviour, compliance, teamwork, and professional development are paramount.

  • Develop comprehensive business plans tailored for high-value medical centres and major pharmacy chains to ensure sustainable revenue growth within key accounts.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong connections with doctors, pharmacists, C-suite executives, purchasing managers, and other stakeholders to foster trust and loyalty.
  • Design and implement account-specific strategies such as medical education initiatives, marketing campaigns, and commercial partnerships that address client needs.
  • Negotiate pricing structures, contract terms, and partnership agreements in close collaboration with commercial leadership to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Monitor market trends and activities within assigned accounts to identify new opportunities for expansion or service enhancement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3–4 sales representatives by providing regular feedback, field coaching, and performance guidance to ensure consistent achievement of targets.
  • Consolidate sales data into accurate reports that provide valuable market intelligence and actionable insights for senior management decision-making.
  • Ensure all field activities align with national strategy while upholding compliance standards and promoting ethical conduct across the team.
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing teams to coordinate product availability and execute customer-focused initiatives such as CME programmes, workshops, and product launches.
  • Act as a conduit between field insights from key accounts and internal stakeholders to inform broader organisational strategy.

What you bring:

Your interpersonal strengths shine through when engaging stakeholders at all levels from clinicians through procurement specialists ensuring every interaction builds trust. You bring proven skills in negotiation that balance commercial objectives with client satisfaction. • Exceptional communication skills allow you to build rapport with diverse stakeholders ranging from healthcare professionals to executive leaders within client organisations.
