Save job

A leading global medical device organisation is seeking a Product Manager specialising in Interventional Cardiology to join their Kuala Lumpur team. This role offers you the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by driving the adoption of advanced medical technologies that improve procedural outcomes and patient care. You will be at the forefront of shaping marketing strategies for a diverse portfolio, enabling therapy adoption and optimising procedural success across the region.

What you'll do:

As Product Manager Interventional Cardiology, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of innovative medical device technologies that transform patient care. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing strategic marketing plans tailored to both global standards and local market dynamics. You will lead training programmes focused on atherectomy and thrombectomy devices, equipping clinical teams with essential skills for optimal procedural outcomes. By creating impactful messaging toolkits, you will reinforce brand value while supporting sales teams through educational initiatives on device selection and complication mitigation. Organising workshops and physician education events will be central to your role as you foster collaboration among healthcare professionals. You will also work closely with business unit leaders to design bundled solutions that address customer needs while monitoring utilisation data to refine strategies for greater portfolio penetration. Engaging KOLs for case series development ensures best-practice sharing within the medical community. Success in this role requires a blend of strategic thinking, interpersonal skills, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes through collaborative efforts.

  • Develop comprehensive annual marketing plans for the interventional cardiology portfolio that align with global positioning and local market needs.
  • Drive training programmes and competency development initiatives for atherectomy and thrombectomy devices, ensuring clinical teams are well-equipped for procedural success.
  • Create compelling messaging and toolkits that emphasise brand algorithms and highlight the clinical benefits of interventional cardiology products.
  • Support sales teams by providing education on device selection, complication mitigation techniques, and best practices for procedural workflows.
  • Organise procedural workshops and physician education events to foster knowledge sharing and enhance clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders and commercial teams to design bundled solutions and implement value-selling strategies tailored to customer requirements.
  • Monitor utilisation rates and attach rates across the portfolio; analyse data to adjust plans for improved penetration and adoption.
  • Engage key opinion leaders (KOLs) for case series development, best-practice sharing, and advocacy within the medical community.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives and alignment with organisational goals.

What you bring:

To excel as Product Manager Interventional Cardiology, you will bring a robust background in healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing supported by a relevant degree such as Life Sciences or Biomedical Engineering. Your experience launching products within cardiovascular or surgical domains will be invaluable as you manage complex portfolios. Familiarity with clinical support techniques enables you to understand procedural workflows deeply while your expertise in tender processes ensures successful economic value messaging. Proficiency in analytical tools like Power BI alongside Salesforce and Excel allows you to interpret utilisation data effectively. Your exceptional communication skills empower you to engage KOLs meaningfully during educational events. Collaboration across multiple teams comes naturally as you organise workshops that elevate clinical competencies. An analytical approach helps you monitor attach rates while adjusting strategies for maximum impact. Your commitment to teamwork, empathy towards colleagues’ perspectives, dependability in delivering results, sensitivity when engaging stakeholders, loyalty towards organisational goals, nurturing attitude during training sessions—all these qualities set you apart as an ideal candidate ready for this rewarding challenge.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmacy, Business Marketing or related field is required for this position.
  • Minimum five years’ experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical marketing—preferably within cardiovascular or medical surgery—with proven success in product launches and portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clinical support techniques as well as surgical procedural workflows relevant to interventional cardiology.
  • Strong understanding of tender processes combined with expertise in economic value messaging within healthcare environments.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Salesforce, Excel, and presentation tools is essential for effective data analysis and communication.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with proven ability to engage key opinion leaders (KOLs) in educational initiatives.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams including business units, commercial leads, sales teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Experience organising educational workshops or physician events aimed at enhancing clinical competencies is highly desirable.
  • Analytical mindset with capability to monitor utilisation rates, interpret data trends, and adjust strategies accordingly.
