What you'll do:
As Country Nursing Lead, you will be entrusted with guiding the strategic direction of nursing services nationwide. - Coordinate the Clinical Care Services team and support clinical teammates throughout the country with the implementation, development, and maintenance of quality programmes, policies, procedures, risk management strategies, and patient safety initiatives.
- Assist in setting and monitoring country-wide clinical goals in partnership with the Chief Medical Officer and Operations Team to achieve desired results aligned with organisational priorities.
- Supervise the performance of Hemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis, and Vascular Access clinical services teams while managing overall operations of clinical services and education teams.
- Oversee hiring, promotion, professional development, correction, and discharge processes for clinical teammates in conjunction with People Services Management.
- Monitor adverse occurrence reporting processes; ensure appropriate investigation of serious incidents; supervise root cause analysis; follow up on critical events from a nursing perspective; maintain safe clinical environments.
- Lead Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities at the country level by promoting initiatives, monitoring implementation progress, attending QAPI meetings or delegating attendance as needed.
- Ensure all country procedures align with international policy requirements; coordinate review and development of policies; recommend modifications or new policies where necessary; oversee regular review cycles.
- Direct the implementation of comprehensive training programmes for new clinical teammates; identify specific training needs; ensure timely completion of mandatory education; revise materials as required; support ongoing professional development within clinics.
- Ensure adherence to compliance programmes by overseeing documentation submission to regulatory agencies; provide audit oversight to guarantee consistency and legal conformity; maintain compliance with all relevant laws and guidelines affecting nursing practice.
- Provide coaching and guidance to Clinical Services Specialists, Clinical Educators, Head Nurses, and preceptors/mentors while fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement.
What you bring:
To excel as Country Nursing Lead you will bring extensive experience from senior roles within renal nursing environments ideally underpinned by formal qualifications at Bachelor’s or Master’s level. Your background should reflect hands-on involvement in quality management projects where you have successfully driven improvements across complex healthcare settings. A deep understanding of regulatory frameworks governing clinical practice is crucial—as is familiarity with accreditation standards relevant to Malaysian healthcare providers. Your proven track record should include mentoring multidisciplinary teams through change management processes while upholding high standards of professionalism. Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written will enable you to articulate complex concepts clearly whether addressing frontline staff or executive stakeholders. You are adept at analysing data trends using digital tools like MS Excel—and translating insights into actionable strategies that enhance patient outcomes. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing is preferred; individuals with substantial experience leading quality improvement programmes are encouraged to apply as this will be considered an added advantage.
- At least five years’ experience in a senior nursing position within renal care settings coupled with three to five years’ progressive exposure to quality management or improvement roles within healthcare facilities.
- Familiarity with clinic accreditation processes alongside strong knowledge of regulatory requirements such as CKAPS is essential for success in this role.
- Demonstrated ability to approach sensitive quality issues tactfully while maintaining diplomacy when engaging staff at all levels.
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills are required along with excellent organisational abilities for effective data collection, analysis, presentation and use of spreadsheets such as MS Excel for quality-related data management.
