Our client, a reputable organisation, is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated General Manager Operations to oversee their Entertainment/Theme Park Division. This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape the future of one of the most exciting leisure destinations in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall performance, operational planning, and revenue generation of various business units within the division. This includes overall operations, leisure activities, guest experiences and VIP services.

What you'll do:
As General Manager Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Entertainment/ThemePark Division. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the overall performance of our diverse business units. You will design strategies for growth, maintain budgets, optimise expenses, and ensure that our guests have an exceptional experience. Your leadership skills will be crucial in fostering a positive work culture among team members. You will also be instrumental in implementing business strategies, reviewing action plans, supporting operational workflows, and ensuring safety within the park.
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure a seamless guest experience and smooth operations
- Design strategy and set goals for business and department growth
- Maintain budget and optimise expenses
- Evaluate and improve on operations and financial performances regularly
- Create a balanced and healthy work culture, maintaining professionalism among team members
- Direct the team members assessment process and oversee recruitment and training of new onboarding
- Ensure all planned business strategies are implemented for the business units
- Periodically review strategies and action plans to ensure business objectives are continually met
- Continuously support the processes of operational workflow to optimise operational efficiency
- Provide, maintain, and ensure safety within the location
What you bring:
As our ideal candidate for the General Manager Operations role, you bring a wealth of operational management experience to the table, with at least 10 years in a similar role. Your background in theme park operations will be highly advantageous. You are a strategic thinker, always looking for ways to improve quality, productivity, and efficiency. Your leadership skills enable you to foster a positive work culture and your financial acumen aids in budgeting and expense optimisation. You have an unwavering focus on customer satisfaction and are adept at analysing operational situations and making necessary changes.
- Proven experience in operational management with at least 10 years in a similar role
- Experience in managing theme park operations is highly desirable
- Strong strategic thinking abilities with a focus on improving quality, productivity, and efficiency
- Excellent leadership skills with an ability to foster a positive work culture
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and expense optimisation
- Ability to analyse situations during operation and make necessary changes as needed
- Focus on customer satisfaction with an ability to devise better solutions in operation
- Minimum university graduate of any discipline (with min 5 years working experience)
- Completed some management development
