Production Manager

Our client is a globally recognized leader in the food manufacturing sector, currently expanding its footprint as a major regional hub for South and Southeast Asia. We are seeking a highly visible, hands-on Production Lead to spearhead a critical site transformation. Managing a diverse 24/7 workforce across multiple lines, this leader will drive operational discipline, optimize ageing equipment, and prepare the facility to be in fully automation.

About the Opportunity

This is a newly structured position designed to drive immediate cultural and operational change. You will act as the pivotal leader connecting management’s vision for a highly automated future with the daily realities of the shop floor. By instilling discipline, standardizing processes, and empowering your supervisors, you will stabilize current operations and set the stage for a brand-new, state-of-the-art manufacturing environment planned for the near future.

Key Responsibilities

• Floor Leadership & Transformation: Act as a highly visible presence on the production floor, driving a shift from a traditional, local-oriented mindset to a structured, performance-driven culture.

• Workforce Management: Direct, coach, and manage a diverse team of ~90 operators, supervisors, and outsourced personnel across a 24/7 continuous manufacturing cycle.

• Operational Excellence: Oversee daily production outputs across 5 primary manufacturing lines, actively troubleshooting bottlenecks and optimizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and yield.

• Change Management & CAPEX Preparation: Build foundational operational discipline and organize workflows to ensure the team and site are fully prepared for upcoming large-scale automation and equipment upgrades.

• Safety & Compliance: Ensure absolute adherence to stringent food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience: 5 to 9 years of pure, hands-on production or manufacturing experience (Senior Executive or Assistant Manager level candidates ready to step up are welcome).

• Industry Background: Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, or any other transferable industrial is highly preferred.

• Working Style: Unquestionably floor-oriented. You must be comfortable rolling up your sleeves, engaging directly with operators, and influencing behavioral change on the ground.
