What you'll do:
As General Manager of Manufacturing based in Johor, you will be entrusted with full responsibility for orchestrating all aspects of plant operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve setting strategic priorities that align with organisational objectives while ensuring operational efficiency remains uncompromised. You will oversee major capital projects including new facility launches and expansions; spearhead digital transformation efforts; develop policies that guarantee quality assurance; manage large teams; optimise costs; collaborate cross-functionally; nurture stakeholder relationships; and drive sustainability forward. - Define and implement a comprehensive strategic roadmap for plant operations that ensures both immediate performance targets and long-term sustainability objectives are met.
- Provide executive oversight for planning, designing, and executing new manufacturing plants as well as capacity expansion projects to support business growth.
- Champion innovation by driving digital transformation initiatives within manufacturing processes, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies for enhanced productivity and efficiency.
- Develop robust policies and frameworks for operational excellence, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance to maintain industry-leading standards.
- Lead large-scale workforce management efforts including talent development programmes, succession planning, and fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Optimise cost structures through rigorous financial discipline while continuously seeking opportunities to improve margins without compromising quality or safety.
- Establish and uphold high-performance production standards by embedding lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies throughout all operations.

- Strong financial acumen with a track record of optimising cost structures while maintaining or improving product quality standards.
- Proficiency in global supply chain management including logistics coordination across multiple geographies or business units.
- Visionary leadership skills combined with strategic decision-making abilities that inspire teams towards shared goals while navigating complex challenges.
- Experience leading change management initiatives focused on organisational transformation within fast-evolving markets or industries.
- Advanced negotiation skills coupled with stakeholder management expertise—enabling effective collaboration both internally across departments and externally with partners or regulators.
- Crisis management capabilities supported by sound risk mitigation strategies that protect business continuity during periods of uncertainty or disruption.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management or related field is essential; an MBA is highly preferred; additional certifications in lean manufacturing or Six Sigma are advantageous.
