Senior IT Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior IT Engineer to join their dynamic team in Penang.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop, enhance and support current applications including MES and factory/office automation systems. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting business growth and process changes through the development of new in-house applications and enhancement of existing ones.

What you'll do:

As a Senior IT Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing, enhancing, and supporting current applications. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding user problems or company business needs, and solving them by enhancing existing systems or proposing appropriate new solutions. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with international IT teams, providing you with a global exposure.

• Develop new in-house applications to support business growth or process change
• Provide analysis of business or process problems using established fact-finding procedures
• Solve routine user problems or company business needs by enhancing existing systems or proposing new solutions
• Prepare and give presentations to internal work groups and train end users on established in-house applications
• Provide on-call support and problem resolution for in-house applications
• Collaborate with international IT teams in system development, testing and release

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior IT Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in windows or web-based application development. Your strong programming skills with object-oriented experience will be key to your success in this role. Additionally, your logical thinking and analytical skills will enable you to solve complex problems effectively. Your project management skills will ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
• 2 - 5 years experience in windows or web based application development
• Programming with object oriented experience
• Logical thinking and analytical skills
• Project management and time management skills
• Knowledge of multi-user computer systems, application and/or equipment
• Microsoft ASP.net, Camstar Modeling, Camstar Development skill Oracle ERP, PL/SQL, MSSQL and Oracle database knowledge
