Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

Save job

A leading player in the consumer manufacturing sector is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join their Selangor-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to take on a pivotal role, where your expertise in maintenance planning and inventory management will directly support production reliability and operational excellence. The organisation is renowned for its commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement, offering a supportive environment.

What you'll do:

As Maintenance Manager, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes by expertly managing all aspects of maintenance planning and inventory control. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate technical requirements into practical solutions that keep production running efficiently. You will be instrumental in aligning planned activities with business needs, proactively addressing challenges before they arise, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By leveraging your organisational skills and technical knowledge, you will help drive operational reliability while supporting your team’s development in a positive, inclusive environment.

  • Oversee and guide a dedicated team responsible for maintenance planning, spare parts coordination, and inventory control within a busy manufacturing setting.
  • Translate complex maintenance requirements into clear, actionable work orders while ensuring seamless communication with operations teams for timely execution.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement colleagues to monitor stock levels and guarantee the availability of critical spare parts essential for uninterrupted production.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the planning function and key stakeholders in production and maintenance, ensuring all planned activities are fully aligned with operational priorities.
  • Champion the efficient execution of maintenance plans by minimising disruptions to production schedules and supporting ongoing improvement initiatives across the site.
  • Utilise computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and scheduling tools to track performance metrics, resource allocation, and workflow progress.
  • Uphold established maintenance workflow standards by implementing gatekeeping processes that ensure compliance and consistency throughout all activities.
  • Prioritise tasks effectively under pressure, maintaining high standards of organisation while delivering reliable results in a fast-moving environment.
  • Drive end-to-end management of maintenance planning processes, including overseeing the full lifecycle of work orders from initiation through completion.
  • Coordinate scheduled maintenance activities hands-on, ensuring all resources are in place for successful delivery.

What you bring:

In this Maintenance Manager position, your background in managing inventory systems and spare parts logistics within manufacturing environments will be invaluable. Your ability to use digital tools such as CMMS platforms will allow you to track progress accurately while optimising resource allocation. You bring an analytical mindset that supports robust reporting practices alongside excellent interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement. Your familiarity with industry standards ensures compliance at every stage of the process. To thrive here, you should be highly organised—capable of juggling competing priorities without losing sight of long-term goals—and committed to upholding best practices that contribute positively to both team performance and overall business outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience in inventory and spare parts management within a production or plant environment, enabling effective support for manufacturing operations.
  • Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) as well as planning and scheduling tools to monitor performance and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Analytical approach with strong reporting abilities and confidence handling data to inform decision-making processes.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard maintenance workflows, including gatekeeping procedures that uphold best practices across all activities.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with proven ability to prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Comprehensive understanding of maintenance best practices gained through hands-on experience in a manufacturing context.
  • Track record of successfully managing end-to-end maintenance planning processes, including oversight of work order lifecycles and job prioritisation strategies.
  • Practical experience coordinating scheduled maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to production timelines.
