Senior Production Manager

We are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer seeking a strategic Senior Production Manager. As the business undergoes a significant expansion and transitions operations to a new facility, you will be instrumental in overseeing daily processing, filling, and packaging lines. This leadership role offers a dynamic environment where you will manage a growing workforce and drive operational excellence

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and optimize daily production operations across the processing, liquid filling, and packaging departments to ensure output, yield, and efficiency targets are consistently met.

• Spearhead a critical facility migration and expansion project, ensuring operational continuity, minimal downtime, and effective capacity planning during the transition phase.

• Drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), minimize material wastage, and optimize direct manufacturing costs.

• Ensure rigorous plant compliance with global food safety and quality standards, including GMP, HACCP, and Halal certifications.

• Manage, train, and scale a large production workforce, with a strong focus on upskilling operators to handle advanced automated production lines.

• Act as the primary technical liaison with the overseas headquarters. You will be required to draft operational reports, review technical guidelines, and conduct daily business communications entirely in Mandarin.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Food Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of managerial experience within the F&B, FMCG, dairy, or liquid bottling industries.

• Mandatory Language Proficiency: Must be highly proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in Mandarin to effectively communicate with stakeholders and process complex documentation from the China HQ. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is also required for floor management.

• Proven track record in managing large-scale manufacturing transitions, plant expansions, or commissioning automated processing equipment.

• Strong leadership capabilities with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, team building, and cost optimization.

• Willingness to travel locally between facilities during the initial transition period.
