What you'll do:
As a Design Engineer specialising in Warehouse Automation, your primary focus will be on creating layout plans and technical solutions that enhance operational efficiency across the distribution network. You'll be responsible for designing and developing warehouse automation system layouts, translating operational requirements into detailed engineering drawings and technical specs. Your role will involve close collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure alignment and feasibility of designs. Using tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks, you'll create both concept and detailed designs while also supporting equipment selection and system integration planning.
- Design and develop warehouse automation system layouts including conveyors, ASRS, AMRs.
- Translate operational requirements into detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure design alignment and feasibility.
- Utilise tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent for concept and detailed designs.
- Support equipment selection and system integration planning.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Design Engineer role will bring a wealth of knowledge from their degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial or a related Engineering field. You should have 3-5 years' experience in warehouse automation or material handling system design, preferably from a vendor or integrator. Your strong proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD/SolidWorks will be crucial to your success in this role. We're looking for someone who is detail-oriented and enjoys solving complex problems with innovative solutions.
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, or a related Engineering field.
- 3–5 years’ experience in warehouse automation or material handling system design.
- Strong proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
- Detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
