What you'll do:
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Kulim, Kedah, you’ll be at the centre of executing mechanical designs for automation and bespoke equipment serving global clients within advanced manufacturing sectors. Your daily routine will be filled with close collaboration alongside both local teams and experienced engineers from headquarters as you adapt designs for local manufacturing requirements. You’ll be involved throughout every phase of the project lifecycle: from initial concept evaluation through detailed design execution, assembly troubleshooting, participation in FAT procedures, and final documentation control. - Execute 3D mechanical designs and detailed 2D drawings independently, ensuring timely completion of tasks and consistently high design quality that exceeds expectations.
- Manage engineering changes efficiently, participate actively in design reviews, and ensure compliance with internal standards as well as corporate VDA design processes.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical teams at headquarters for technical alignment, synchronising project progress and design updates across regions for seamless delivery.
- Participate in lively cross-regional design review meetings, ensuring documentation version consistency and facilitating effective communication between teams.
- Support mechanical troubleshooting during assembly and commissioning phases, assisting in FAT procedures and customer technical discussions as required.
- Analyse and resolve mechanical issues encountered during project execution, preparing thorough technical summaries following FAT to inform future improvements.
- Maintain meticulous documentation control by keeping records of drawings, BOMs, photographs updated, and participating in departmental standardisation initiatives.
