What you'll do:

As an Application Engineer (Seals) based in Shah Alam, you will play a pivotal role in connecting sales teams with engineering solutions. Your day-to-day activities will involve participating in detailed technical discussions with customers on specialised projects such as retrofits or upgrades. You will conduct informative presentations and training sessions that empower clients with knowledge about sealing technologies. By analysing technical information from customers, you will recommend suitable mechanical seals or systems tailored to their unique requirements. You will also manage inquiries and orders efficiently while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure timely delivery of solutions. Troubleshooting support is a key aspect of this role; you will provide hands-on assistance at customer sites when needed. Additionally, you will contribute to documentation efforts by developing case studies and updating internal materials that enhance collective understanding within the organisation. Success in this position requires a blend of technical proficiency, collaborative spirit, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

• Participate in technical discussions with customers regarding projects, engineered applications, competitor conversions, retrofits, upgrades, and other specialised requirements.
• Conduct engaging presentations and deliver customer training sessions as required to enhance understanding of sealing technologies.
• Analyse provided technical information to select optimal solutions for customer applications, making recommendations for mechanical seals and sealing systems.
• Receive, review, and process inquiries or customer orders while ensuring all technical specifications align with the offer requirements.
• Assist sales teams in promoting, selling, and servicing products within the local market in accordance with company objectives and customer needs.
• Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, review purchase order details, pump and seal data sheets, and collaborate closely with Sales & Service as well as Design departments to maintain project timelines.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance for seals and systems when additional expertise is required by the service team, including site visits for data collection and assessments.
• Develop and maintain installed-base lists, case studies, success stories, and presentations to document achievements and share knowledge internally.
• Help prepare and update internal documents to increase understanding of applications handled across various industries, contributing to regional industry expertise.
