What you'll do:

As a Senior New Product Introduction Engineer based in Perai, Pulau Pinang, you will take on a central role in shaping how new products are brought into full-scale production. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams as you define manufacturing strategies that align with business objectives. You will be responsible for reviewing vendor proposals, selecting reliable partners, and overseeing their performance to ensure seamless integration into existing workflows. • Review manufacturing sourcing requests for proposals (RFPs) and responses thoroughly, approve the selection of sub-contractors, and monitor their performance to maintain high standards throughout the supply chain.
• Develop detailed manufacturing plans for prototype builds, pilot runs, and full-scale production phases to guarantee smooth transitions between each stage of product introduction.
• Demonstrate ownership of production readiness by meticulously documenting all requirements via release-to-production checklists, including tooling, facilities setup, workflow design, and test flow implementation.
• Sustain efficient manufacturing operations by minimising scrap rates and rework through proactive monitoring and process adjustments.
• Conduct comprehensive training sessions for production personnel while assessing their competency levels to ensure consistent adherence to best practices.
• Support all New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by collaborating closely with engineering teams to facilitate successful product launches.
