What you'll do:

As Technical Head Uninterruptible Power Supply Solutions based in Puchong, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of the organisation. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading a diverse team of professionals dedicated to delivering reliable UPS solutions for mission-critical environments. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of technical operations including documentation management, compliance activities, supplier coordination, commissioning support, after-sales troubleshooting, training delivery, and cross-functional collaboration. Success in this role requires you to nurture talent within your team through mentorship and professional development while maintaining rigorous standards for product compliance. You will act as a bridge between internal stakeholders and international suppliers—ensuring smooth communication channels for product updates or issue resolution.   • Lead and manage the technical department comprising technicians, site supervisors, QAQC personnel, and other supporting resources to ensure seamless operations.
  • Drive team performance by fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to technical team members while aligning departmental objectives with business priorities.
  • Oversee technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle from product qualification through commissioning, ensuring accuracy and completeness at every stage.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements such as SIRIM and relevant industry standards by reviewing manuals, product specifications, and certification records.
  • Act as the key technical liaison with overseas suppliers and manufacturers from Taiwan and China, managing communications, product updates, issue escalations, and support discussions.
  • Evaluate technical specifications and facilitate clarification between suppliers and internal teams to guarantee optimal product integration.
  • Provide guidance for installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting activities while supporting the technical team in resolving customer issues through root cause analysis.
  • Develop training materials and conduct quarterly sessions for sales teams, engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to drive continuous competency development.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, QAQC, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure seamless project execution while serving as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders.

Your background should include hands-on involvement with testing/commissioning activities alongside deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements like SIRIM certification.   • Experience providing after-sales support including troubleshooting complex issues within UPS or critical power systems is expected.
