What you'll do:
As a Technical Support Engineer based in Penang, you will play an integral role in ensuring customers receive outstanding support throughout their journey with advanced machine vision products. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with various teams to assess new projects' viability, responding swiftly to technical queries from clients during testing phases, and managing after-sales concerns with care. You will also have the opportunity to enable international colleagues through training materials and direct guidance while representing the company at overseas exhibitions. - Collaborate closely with the sales team to evaluate project feasibility by testing product functions, assessing technical solutions, and clearly communicating client requirements.
- Provide prompt responses to customer technical consultations during product testing phases, addressing issues related to both machine vision hardware and software.
- Act as a bridge between customers and research & development by relaying product feedback and technical requirements, following up on customisation projects to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage after-sales support by resolving RMA (Return Merchandise Authorisation) issues and conducting thorough quality retrospective communications with clients.
- Empower overseas colleagues and customers by delivering comprehensive technical guidance, creating FAQs, and producing clear operational videos for training purposes.
- Take responsibility for technical aspects of overseas exhibitions by coordinating materials, performing system debugging, and offering on-site support as needed.
- Support ongoing improvement initiatives by identifying recurring technical challenges and proposing effective solutions to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all technical interactions, troubleshooting steps taken, and resolutions provided to ensure knowledge is shared within the team.
- Participate actively in cross-functional meetings to align on project goals, share insights from customer feedback, and contribute ideas for future product enhancements.
What you bring:

- Solid understanding of optical and electrical principles along with hands-on familiarity with at least one programming language is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated logical thinking abilities combined with strong organisational coordination skills are important for managing multiple projects efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin are preferred to facilitate smooth interactions with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism when dealing with customers.
- Experience preparing technical documentation such as FAQs or operation guides adds significant value to your application.
