Core Responsibilities

• Design Governance: Act as the ultimate technical gatekeeper. Review, evaluate, and approve all architectural, interior, and drawings submitted by external consultants to ensure build-ability and compliance.

• Brand Standards: Formulate, enforce, and continuously refine comprehensive store design guidelines (materials, fixtures, lighting, and spatial layouts) to guarantee brand consistency across all formats.

• Cross-Functional Leadership: Spearhead space planning and design coordination, bridging the gap between Operations, Visual Merchandising, Leasing, and Procurement.

• Team Mentorship: Lead and develop an internal design team, providing technical coaching, setting quality benchmarks, and driving a culture of high performance and accountability.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct critical milestone reviews and periodic site inspections. Approve material mock-ups and resolve complex technical discrepancies during the construction phase to ensure strict adherence to local building and fire safety codes.

Candidate Profile

• Robust background in retail store planning, interior architecture, and brand environment execution.

• Exceptional technical literacy, specifically in reviewing and critiquing complex shop drawings and MEP layouts.

• Demonstrated ability to establish technical guidelines and govern design standards across a portfolio of projects.

• Proven leadership experience with a track record of mentoring teams and managing external vendor performance.

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance aesthetic goals against operational realities and customer journey principles.
