Trading & Sales Business Risk Manager

An exciting Trading and Sales Business Risk Manager position has just become available at a top international financial services company.

The Business Risk Manager’s role is a key contributor towards supporting the Trading & Sales Business non-financial risk management. The role works closely with Trading & Sales COO, Business Risk Managers (BRM) and Compliance (CFCC). Responsibilities include risk assessment and management, business analysis and M7 maintenance.

What you'll do:

• Be aware of and understand the Markets Business as well as the relevant Non-financial risk related to the business with a specific focus on Trading
• Assist other BRMs in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks by reviewing, creating monitors and controls where appropriate as well as writing risk assessments.
• Engage in tasks to execute and manage the supervisory framework or other associated requirements of the Trading & Sales BRM, taking appropriate actions to address any deficiencies and shortcomings Escalate any elevated risks to Trading COO, Markets COO, Global BRMs and Compliance.
• Collaborate with Trading COO to identify and address controls deficiencies and improve existing controls.
• Act as a subject matter expert for M7, such that effective management information for the Trading & Sales BRM, or other senior Markets business heads as well as Operational risk and Compliance leads.
• Responsible for helping timely identification, assessment, mitigation, reporting and escalation of all identified Operational Risk exposures impacting Trading & Sales risks.
• Support the Trading & Sales BRM team in preparation of Trading items for Markets Non-Financial Risk (NFR) forums.
• Responsible for helping reviews of operational errors that occur within business that result in financial losses, gains, near misses, reputational damage or danger to people or our reputation.
• Assist in any Audit or Compliance reviews.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Min 3 - 4 years of relevant experience
• Good Risk Management skills.
• Experience and good understanding of Risk Framework and governance.
• Analytic skills and Stakeholder management.
• Good communication skills verbal and written.
• Proficient in MS Office tools.
