Market Risk Assistant Manager

An exciting Market Risk Assistant Manager role has just become available at one of the financial services companies based in Kuala Lumpur.

What you'll do:

• Assure constant adherence to Parent Bank and BNM requirements regarding traded and non-traded market risk.
• Helping the team and the unit head monitor and report market risk issues to make sure they stay within the permitted range or trigger points.
• Overseeing the creation, upkeep, and analysis of regular reports and assignments pertaining to market risk, such as traded foreign exchange limits and Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB) reporting.
• Assist the unit head in identifying, suggesting, and developing robotic process automation (RPA) and system enhancement for ongoing improvement in order to optimise procedures and boost team productivity.
• Examine, oversee, and uphold the market risk management rules, practices, and methodology.
• Participate in the analysis, reporting, and improvement of asset and liability management.
• Participate in the creation of the market stress tests for Parent Bank, BNM, EVE, and EA.

What you'll bring:

The ideal candidate for this Market Risk Assistant Manager position brings a blend of skills that makes them uniquely qualified:

• Proven experience in a Market Risk role within financial services, fintech, or a similarly regulated environment.
• Degree in Economics, Finance, Banking, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics or equivalent.
• Sound numerical and analytical skill
• Good in communication in both written and verbal, report writing and preparation as well as organizational skills. Good skill in Microsoft Excel.
