What you'll do:
As Vice President of Finance, you will be entrusted with significant responsibility for the end-to-end management of fund operations, from accounting oversight to regulatory compliance. Your day-to-day will involve close collaboration with investment teams as you support deal execution from a finance perspective while also monitoring portfolio company performance.
- Oversee all aspects of fund accounting operations, including quarterly Net Asset Value calculations and meticulous capital account maintenance to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Monitor fund cash flows diligently by managing capital calls and distributions, maintaining optimal liquidity for investments and investor returns.
- Manage the financial activities of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), including overseeing investment inflows, divestment processes, and related documentation.
- Coordinate financing and fundraising activities at both SPV and fund levels by collaborating with internal teams and external partners to secure necessary resources.
- Lead the preparation of comprehensive quarterly and annual financial statements in strict accordance with relevant accounting standards to meet regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate management accounts for internal stakeholders by implementing efficient reporting processes.
- Liaise effectively with external auditors throughout the year-end audit process to facilitate smooth reviews and address any queries promptly.
- Work closely with tax agents on all fund- and SPV-related tax matters, ensuring compliance with local regulations and timely filings.
- Oversee all regulatory reporting obligations by staying abreast of evolving compliance requirements within the private equity sector.
- Prepare detailed investor reports, fund performance updates, and financial disclosures that foster trust through clear communication with stakeholders.
What you bring:
To excel as Vice President of Finance in this esteemed private equity setting, your background should reflect substantial experience in similar roles where you have overseen complex fund operations while maintaining rigorous compliance standards.
- Hold a recognised professional accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CA which demonstrates your technical competence in finance and accounting principles.
- Bring 8–12 years of relevant experience gained within private equity, investment management or Big 4 transaction services/fund audit environments where you have developed deep sector knowledge.
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of complex fund structures including Limited Partnership/General Partnership models, SPVs, carry structures and their practical applications.
- Possess hands-on experience managing fund operations as well as providing support to portfolio companies during periods of growth or transition.
- Exhibit excellent financial modelling abilities alongside strong analytical skills that enable you to interpret data accurately for informed decision-making.
- Showcase proven capability in preparing detailed financial reports for both internal management purposes and external stakeholder communications.
- Display effective communication skills when liaising with auditors, tax agents, administrators or other third-party service providers involved in the finance function.
- Have a track record of successfully managing multiple priorities simultaneously within dynamic environments where adaptability is essential.
