Head, Wholesale Banking Operations

A leading financial institution is seeking a Head of Wholesale Banking Operations to lead and drive operational excellence across its wholesale banking functions. This is a high-impact role suited for a strategic yet hands-on leader with a deep understanding of banking operations.

What you'll do:
As Head of Wholesale Banking Operations, you will work closely alongside the COO and senior leadership to drive operational excellence and support the division’s strategic objectives. Your role will focus on optimizing processes, enhancing service delivery, and ensuring seamless execution of wholesale banking operations. You will identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, manage risk and compliance, and collaborate cross-functionally to position the Wholesale Banking division as a market leader in providing reliable and innovative financial solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end operations across several critical domains:

• Global Market Operations – Manage front-to-back operations for treasury and capital market transactions, ensuring compliance, timely settlements, and process integrity.
• Trade Finance Operations – Lead the operations for trade finance products, including letters of credit, guarantees, and collections, ensuring process efficiency and risk control.
• Corporate Banking Operations – Oversee operations related to remittances, loans, and fixed-term deposits, with a focus on accuracy, service quality, and process optimisation.
• Client Management – Drive strong client servicing standards, working closely with front-office teams to support institutional and corporate clients effectively.
• Risk Management – Ensure robust operational risk controls are in place, in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Compliance – Maintain adherence to all regulatory and internal compliance frameworks, including AML/CFT guidelines and operational audits.

• Demonstrated ability to lead the teams, implement structure, and drive transformation initiatives.

• Detail-oriented, hands-on leader with strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in managing risk and compliance in a highly regulated environment.
