Senior Equity Research Analyst

Our client is seeking a Senior Equity Analyst with a strong background in equity research, particularly within the sectors of Malaysia telco, oil & gas, utilities, and plantations.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Equity Analyst, your role will be pivotal in providing insightful analysis on various sectors including Malaysia telco, oil & gas, utilities, and plantations.

• Publishing reports that include investment thesis, target price, earnings forecasts, and Buy/Sell/Hold ratings
• Building and maintaining detailed financial models for each company under coverage
• Using valuation methods like Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Price/Earnings (P/E), Enterprise Value/EBITDA (EV/EBITDA)
• Forecasting earnings and other financial metrics
• Presenting investment ideas and analysis to institutional clients
• Responding to client inquiries, participating in client calls, and attending investor conferences
• Building relationships with fund managers, portfolio managers, and buy-side analysts

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Senior Equity Analyst position brings a wealth of experience in equity research.

• Proven experience as an Equity Analyst or similar role
• Strong knowledge of valuation methods such as DCF, P/E ratio, EV/EBITDA
• Ability to build detailed financial models
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to forecast earnings and other financial metrics
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly
• Excellent relationship-building skills with experience dealing with fund managers, portfolio managers, and buy-side analysts
