Senior Account Manager, Corporate Recovery
Our client is seeking a Senior Account Manager to join their team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to formulate and implement strategic recovery plans for a portfolio of vulnerable accounts, ensuring maximised recoveries and reduced distressed assets. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert, providing technical advice and guidance to various internal business units. They will also collaborate with regional branches/subsidiaries to propose and track recovery strategies. This role is based in Malaysia.

What you'll do:
As a Senior Account Manager, your primary responsibility will be formulating and implementing strategic recovery plans for a diverse portfolio of vulnerable accounts.
- Formulate and implement strategic recovery plans for a portfolio of vulnerable accounts
- Monitor compliance to approved settlement terms and repayment proposals
- Assess borrowers’ businesses, negotiate win-win workout solutions, and recommend turnaround strategies
- Collaborate with regional branches/subsidiaries to propose and track recovery strategies
- Provide technical advice and guidance to various internal business units
- Ensure timely submission of CGC and SJPP claims with complete supporting documents for successful recoveries
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Account Manager position holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Banking/ Business Administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Banking/ Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years experience in Credit Environment relating to evaluation and approval
- Analytical thinking and strong command of written and spoken English
- Technical knowledge in Credit and Debt Resolution
- Good understanding of credit facilities, security, credit administration process, legal (enforcement process as well as legal documentation), relevant laws (Companies Act, Partnership Act, Limitation Act, Bankruptcy Act, Banking Laws, National Land Code and High Court Rules) as well as corporate’s M & A activities.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and under tight deadlines.
- Conversant in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Independent and resourceful, evidenced by high initiative in solving problems and issues.
- Possess good interpersonal skills, result-oriented and display consistent performance.
