They are seeking an experienced Finance Specialist in Malaysia, to support their Finance Team in the United Kingdom. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the Finance Team operates efficiently and delivers excellent service to customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

What you'll do:
As a Finance Specialist, your role will be integral to the smooth running of our client's finance operations. You will handle a variety of responsibilities including processing invoices, completing reconciliations, inputting payments, preparing financial statements, supporting payroll runs, and building collaborative relationships. Your ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work to tight deadlines will be key to your success in this fast-paced environment.
- Processing Purchase invoices, Staff Expenses and Sales invoices in Xero
- Completing daily Mastercard settlement reconciliations
- Completing daily e-money/Safeguarding Reconciliations
- Conducting daily and monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Inputting payments in various banking portals
- Preparing and operating the bi-monthly payment run ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and filed appropriately
- Helping in the preparation of Year End Financial Statements and support during Statutory Audits.
- Supporting the monthly payroll run and general HR and office management duties
- Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with suppliers, customers and the wider business
- Supporting the wider finance team ensuring all day-to-day tasks and duties are completed in a timely and accurate manner
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Finance Specialist role brings a solid understanding of book-keeping and accounting procedures along with at least 18 months of relevant experience within an accounting function. The successful candidate will be proactive, possess strong problem-solving skills, have the ability to prioritise tasks effectively even under pressure, be an excellent team player, and have outstanding communication skills.
- Good understanding of book-keeping and accounting procedures
- Minimum of 18 months relevant experience within an accounting function
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
- Pro-active approach with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively prioritise and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent team player - able to work with and effectively support other team members.
- Excellent communications skills – able to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas
