What you'll do:
As an Assistant Vice President in Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include leading budgeting and forecasting efforts, managing financial reporting and audits, ensuring tax compliance, enhancing data governance frameworks, and contributing to strategic projects. - Lead the coordination of the annual expense budget with management and Corporate Planning Department.
- Manage the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports for external auditors.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of income tax returns to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate on initiatives to enhance data governance frameworks.
- Contribute to strategic projects, demonstrating adaptability and commitment to process improvement.
- Leverage deep understanding of banking operations in managing financial reconciliations.
What you bring:
As an ideal candidate for the Assistant Vice President, Finance position, you bring a wealth of experience and knowledge in finance.
- A recognized Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or its equivalent from a recognized university/higher learning institution with professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in audit and/or banking industry.
- Good stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in team setting.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of accounting, MFRS and banking regulation.
- Strong PC skills particularly in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Access.
